📄️ Create Your First URL
Proxy402 is a service that allows you to monetize any content on the web. Using the X402 protocol, Proxy402 enables machine-native payments for any URL you provide, effectively placing a paywall in front of your content that can be paid using USDC on Base.
📄️ Pay for Content
In this section, we'll walk through paying for monetized content (URLs or files), understanding how to handle test versus production payments, and how to use access credits. We'll use the Proxy402 client from the GitHub repository.
📄️ Direct Payments
By default, payments made to your monetized URLs go to a Fewsats-controlled address, and you can request payouts from there. However, you can choose to receive payments directly to your own Base wallet address instead.
📄️ Verify Requests
When you monetize a URL with Proxy402, you need a way to ensure that all requests to your original content have been properly paid for. To prevent unauthorized access and verify that requests are coming through Proxy402, a special security header is included with every forwarded request.
📄️ About X402 Protocol
The X402 protocol is an open standard for internet-native payments using the HTTP 402 status code.
